Period - Is a given amount of time. It may refer to the timing of payments, the timing of compounding, the total time that payments are made to the fund, or the total number of periods that the fund is calculated.

Interest / Rate of Return - This is the assumed yearly interest gained on the retirement investment.

Payment - This is the amount of the contribution for the given period.

Interest Accrued/Not Yet Applied - Is the amount of interest which has accumulated since the last compounding of the IRA. It is the amount of interest which the holder is entitled but is not due until the compounding date.

Interest Compounded - Refers to the interest accrued and added to the account's total balance.

Total - This is the total money available within the account.
